Becoming a mother is a beautiful moment, and waiting to have a baby can be an exciting feeling, but often times the rapid growth of the mother’s stomach can leave unsightly stretch marks around the waist and other expanding areas. While stretch marks aren’t painful, they can be unattractive to see, and getting rid of them will take patience.
It is important to realize that most “pregnancy” creams aim to moisturize the skin which helps to prevent stretch marks from forming. These creams are not usually designed to “treat” stretch marks.
“Removing” stretch marks by using a topical cream is not technically possible. Topical stretch mark creams work to fade stretch mark scars and take between one and three months to show results. Often it can take up to six to completely eliminate the visibility of existing marks.
